Gumbo For The Soul: The Recipe for Literacy in the Black Community

Because of our generous supporters, we were able to give away more than 100 copies of our book in it's first month.

Beverly is proud to speak about our rich legacy and literacy while presenting this title to the San Jose City College students' annual Black History Month program.

Request Beverly for your event or church functions.

Gumbo For The Soul Supporting the fight against Breast Cancer:

In the early 1980's my mother had a breast removed. She received chemotherapy and seemingly recovered with no reoccurance of the disease. That was until the doctors would find cancer in her body in 2007. My mother died July 12, 2007 of cancer. ~ Beverly Black Johnson

I honor her life by supporting the crusade against breast cancer and joining Susan G. Komen for the Cure campaigne. Please join in the fight. Click the link above and enter Gumbo For The Soul in the team search box to donate today. Wear pink and show your support!
